1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
We are trying to recruit the band members in United States, and hopefully will be on tour soon.

 

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
Tengger Cavalry was initially formed back in 2010, as a single project. The band become a full stage band after 2 albums released in 2012. We have released 4 albums so far.

 
3- How could you describe your sound?
We describe ourselves as Mongolian folk metal. When Mongolian folk meet heavy metal.

 
4- What are the band’s main musical influences?
Traditional Mongolian folk and heavy metal. Also we listened to many European metal bands like Korpiklaani and Ensiferum.

 

5- How is the feedback for your new album being?
People find it very well-arranged and with new sound. We limited the lyrics and gave more space for musical arrangement, which is appreciated by our  audience.

 
6- And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?
Yes I personally love it.

 

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
Tengger CavalryFolky, Epic, Metal

 

8- How has the production process for your new release been?
It took about 2 months to finish it. Not that long but we were extremely intense and so far the sound satisfy both the band and our audience.

 
9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?
It depends. Sometimes it is a guitar-inspired track, with melody added later. Or sometimes it is the melody that is finished firstly and then other stuff were added.

 

10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?
Tour in US and hopefully in EU too. But we will see how it goes.
