– Hello, lots of thanks for answering our interview. How is everything going into the TERROR’s camp right now?

Things are great. We’re just enjoying some downtime before we go to Europe in a couple weeks.

– You have just finished an European tour with MADBALL and COMEBACK KID. How has everything been? How have the crowd reacted toward your new songs?

The tour was perfect. We couldn’t ask for a better tour to do. all of us are friends so it was just nonstop hanging out and then playing a gig. The shows were amazing and huge! The new songs we,ve been playing have been going over great! And the album had yet to come out while we were on that tour! I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks and see how they’ll be this time around!

– Moreover you have just released your latest opus, «Live by the Code» so, how are the first reactions being? And what are your expectations on it?

Reactions to the album  have been  great so far!  But you’re always gonna have some people who just aren’t feeling it, you can’t please everyone. I’d say at this point, people know what they’re gonna get from Terror, but we always try and bring in a different attitude and flavor with each release.  so with that being said, were very happy with the response we’ve gotten so far.

– Getting a bit deeper into this new record; what does its title make reference to?

its simple…I’d like to think that  A lot of us who found hardcore and connected and related to it, were drawn to it for reasons because its a place where we can speak our minds, express how we feel and make some sort of change whether its ourselves or our surroundings. It shapes who we are. But its up to us to give back to whats been given to us. This music has given us a community to belong , to be heard. But in order to sustain it, we have to make sure that  «this thing of ours» keeps the same ethos that drew us here in the first place.

– It could also be considered your most Hardcore album as well. Was this something you aimed for or do you simply go with the flow?

We never premeditate what our next album will sound like. We try to write the best songs we can and the end product is what you hear. We definitely all did say to eachother once this album was done, that it was more of a throwback to Terrors older spirit as far as rawness and anger goes.

– Anyway I’d dare say tracks as «Invasion» have some different nuances, as a subtle Metal touch. Was this how you wanted the song to sound like or is it just my perception?

We’ve always had a little metal influence in a lot of our songs. More on the thrashy side. That song is definitely the most metal song on the album. It sounds like slayer!!!

– Compared to «Keepers of the Faith», I could say «Live by the Code» is dirtier and rawer. What could you say prompted this? As I guess each album you release it may reflect a certain moment in your life.

Like I said before, we don’t really set out a game plan of what the album is going to sound like. It just comes, but yes, its definitely more of a negative album than KOTF.. But that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve all gotten more pissed off as people since KoTF came out. Well, maybe some of us have. Haha

– Once more, the album has been produced by Chad Gilbert and engineered by Nick so, why is this team so positive for any TERROR’s release? I guess after working together for some time now things must be pretty easy.

Chad is a great dude to work with. He gets what it takes for  a song to  «make sense» and is always full of great ideas. its funny, cuz a lot of the time , if he has an idea, it’ll be like the exact same thing nick or I was thinking in our  heads.. haha. So yah, I’d like to think we’re all on the same page in many ways. Nick is an awesome dude to write songs with and  an awesome engineer as well. Super quick and knows what’s up around the boards.

– All this about «Live by the Code», how could you describe it in just 3 words?

LISTEN TO IT !!!!

– And finally, what are your near-future plans?

Off to Europe in a few weeks for the summer festival season. Gonna be awesome. Then we’re  gonna be in the states for a month right after that . Expect more touring all into next year for sure!
