– Hi, thanks for your time. What are you currently up to? How is everything doing right now with PANZERCHRIST?

Hi Queensofsteel and readers. Currently we’re on vacation, that’s also why I’m ( Sindsyg ) is first able to respond to your interview now,but part from that things are pretty cool with PanzerChrist.

– You will soon release your 7th album, aptly entitled «7th Offensive». What are your expectations on it? And how are the first reactions being?

Our expectations is high,we hope to sell a lot of The 7th Offensive, the feedback that we got so far is like “awesome and fxxin’ brutal stuff, you guys do on this album !!” But an important thing,is that we within the band like it !

– For this new album you’ve got two new guitar players: Nils Petersen and Thomas Egede. What prompted this change? And what do the new members bring to the band the other couldn’t?

As a matter of fact all the members except from Bassist: Michael Panzer General Enevoldsen are new, not only the 2 guitarist but the whole band as suchs: Singer: Søren Tintin Lønholdt (Sindsyg) ,Guitarist Nils Pedersen/Thomas Egede (Thomas decided to leave the band) Drummer: Simon Schilling. But to answer your question,It’s correct that on the last album RR ( Regimen Ragnarok ) there wasn’t much solo on that but if you go listen to some of the other album Panzerchrist did, then there’s pleanty of solos and Panzerchrist also had a lot of other guitarist in the past that could play awesome solos too, anyway Nils do an awesome job with the solos. I think we work better as a unit !

– This is the follow-up to your previous «Regimen Ragnarok», but this new opus sounds slightly more melodic, specially on guitars. Did you have a clear vision on how did you want this album to sound like, or do you just go with the flow?

Yeah we had a clear vision on how we wanted it to be and sound, much more melodic with dark sinister atmospheres and evil fills here and there,we didn’t want to play faster, coz we’ve already proved that we could play fast as hell !!

– Anyway I think this approach has helped enhancing your dark atmosphere, which plays an important role on your music. What’s the main purpose behind your ambiences? Where do you draw inspiration from to create them?

The main purpose it to create an atmosphere for the listeners,we want to bring ‘em as close to the battlefield as possible, the listeners should feel, smell and even teast the battlefield so to speak. We draw the inspirations from mainly from moves, books, we also have a wild imagination and we works together as a unit !

– This time around you have also added growls and Death Metal inspired vocals. Could you say on this album you have, somehow, expanded your own horizons? Will you keep on exploring new elements on future records?

We’ve diffenelly expanded our horizons, not only by bringing growls into the music but also music wise, darker and more sinister elements and atmospheres into the music. Hell yeah we’ll keep on exploring and I’m sure there’ll be new elements on the next album as well.

– If I’m not mistaken for this new release you used three differente studios so, would you mind to elaborate a bit on how was the whole recording and production process?

That’s true ! Vocal and mix was done in Death Island Studio,Engineered by Marco Angioni. Guitar,Synth and Bass was recorded in The Igloo by Hr.Swan. Drums recorded at AMP studio by Jens Förster and Markus Ziemer. About the process, I can only state that it was a huges success to work this way, no stress for the other members of the band “by waiting there turn” so to speak.

– All this about «7th Offensive» being said; how could you describe it in just 3 words?

I can describe it in one: Panzerchrist. (WAR) ….. Else the answer would be: Fxxking Brutal Album.

– You are hailing from Denmark, which has always been a really prolific country when it comes to traditional Heavy Metal (MERCYFUL FATE/KING DIAMOND, PRETTY MAIDS, etc., as main representations so to speak) but, what other Danish bands could you suggest? How’s the extreme Metal scenem like over there?

Illdisposed,Crocell,Artillery,Dawn of Demise,Corpus Mortale to name a few. The extreme metal scene overhere is up and growing, which is good for the challences between the bands here.

– And finally; what are your near-future plans?

We hope to do alot of good reviews on 7th Offensive and to get on the road to tour a hell of alot of festivals ect.

– That’s all, thank you once more for answering our questions. If you want to add some final words; feel free to do it.

Thanks for the interview and for taking your time & interest in Panzerchrist,we appreciated it.
