1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
My Hollow are currently very hard at work as we have been for a long time now. We have recently released our latest Music Video (On Borrowed Time) and our latest photo shoot to compliment our New Album release for “On Borrowed Time”.

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
My Hollow was born in 2008 when Drummer Angelo and guitarist Greg met via internet postings in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Soul Mate search ahahahaa) They then met singer Graham shortly after as he came from British Columbia, Canada also searching for his new brothers in music. bassist Sean and guitarist Lenny joined in 2010 and 2012 and life has been a bed of roses ever since.

 
3- How could you describe your sound?
To describe our sound would be like trying to fit a banana into a beer bottle, you could do it, but it’s tough! Seriously though, with new genres popping up everyday, categorizing has never been more difficult. We call our sound “Progressive Groove Metal” as it literally has all 3 of those elements within each track.

4- What are the band’s main musical influences?
The band has multiple musical influences. All though each member can solidly agree on ideas and riffs, we all have slightly different tastes. We can all be found listening to music that would surprise the shit out of some people! We are a metal band and metal guys but we can have fun and join in the party in almost any atmosphere and any style of music! Bands we sound similar to would be Gojira, All That Remains, Lamb of God, The Agonist, Chimaira, Machine Head etc…

5- How is the feedback for your new album being?
The Feedback for the album has been nothing short of positive! We have been around for quite some time now and we have made contact with a lot of promoters, bands, fans and lots of cool people along with family and friends. All of which have been very supportive towards our group and what we do! They make it exciting for us, thus the band keeps ticking!

6- And are you personally satisfied with the final outcome?
We are extremely satisfied with the outcome of our New Album. “Kitchen Table Media” has been a rock for us over the years as they completed our E.P. “Cold Dark Days” and now the L.P. “On Borrowed Time”. We did all of the pre-production work and recording ourselves so any artist can agree it’s a beautiful thing when you see and hear your work in a finished product and the feeling you get when you finally get to hold the complete album in your hands like the championship cup!!!

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
To describe this “Opus” in three words, we would have to say “THREE EXCLAMATION MARKS”!!!

8- How has the production process for your new release been?
The production process for the New Album has been long and hard. No One said it was going to be a breeze and it’s a good thing because I don’t like to call people liars! We did all pre-production ourselves and it’s a lengthy, grueling and satisfying process all at once. We got past the “is this ever going to be done” stage and kept trucking forward. Of course, no large project will have a near end in sight when the 5 members all have full time jobs, some with kids and new homes and as a band, still rehearsing for constant shows, working on art, release dates, merchandise, website and all social media, writing new material and the never ending list goes on. Through all of that, we are still here doing what we love to do with a strong passion and large amounts of perseverance.

9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?
The songwriting is a combination of picking up our instruments and free-jamming and riffs being brought to practice or shared over the computer. Our songs are rather progressive with many riffs in each so it takes a little longer to complete a song but that’s how we like to do it so don’t give us any lip ahahahaha

10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?
Our near future consists of releasing and introducing our album to the world and playing many shows and potentially touring. We are always upgrading our look, art, sound, instruments, equipment etc… The future has and always will be an exciting time for My Hollow!!
