1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?

Tanner: Hey guys, thank you again for the interview. Right now we are currently getting ready to release our next record, «Into The Aquatic Sector» and are very excited about it.

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?

Tanner: The band started in July of 2007. We played around locally for the first couple of years before really getting serious and putting out a full length record. That record was entitled «Maleficent» and was released on March 2nd, 2012. We then embarked on our first tour with our buddies in Isolation In Infamy and Sacrificial Slaughter. The tour went through CA, AZ, NM and TX where we played the Building Temples From Death Fest with Disgorge headlining. Soon after we regrouped and began to write our upcoming album, «Into The Aquatic Sector».

3- How could you describe your sound?

Tanner: I would describe the band’s sound as a high energy no holds barred kind of a sound. We like to play everything in the extreme metal category and try to incorporate all styles of music in our sound. When we play any show, we like to give 150% to the audience and give them a show that is different than what other bands do.

4- What are the band’s main musical influences?

Tanner: Our main influences come from bands such as Atheist, Exodus, Metal Church Megadeth, Nocturnus, Death, Morbid Angel, Obliveon, etc.

5- How is the feedback for your new album being?

Tanner: So far its been gaining mostly positive feedback from everyone that has heard it. It’s still relatively new, so only time will tell on the overall responce to it.

6- And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?

Tanner: I am very happy with the way it turned out. Our producer Matt Earl(Xanthochroid) did a great job on it. I feel its a big progression from our «Maleficent» release. Not only in production, but in some writing wise it’s a big step for us as a band.

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?

Tanner: I would say it’s fast, brutal and devastating.

8- How has the production process for your new release been?

Tanner: The production process on this release was different than the last one we did. This time we actually did some pre production stuff that I was new to. It really showed at least me what worked with each song and what didnt work with each song. That way we knew going in what each track was going to sound like.

9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?

Tanner: Production is a great advantage to the songwriting process. It gives us an idea of what the songs could could sound like. This saves us a lot of time and money when recording the tunes in the studio because it allows us to hear what works and doesnt work on any particular song.

10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?

Tanner: Right now we plan to play as many shows as we can get to promote «Into The Aquatic Sector» and to continue to write new tunes for the future releases.

11- That’s all from our side, thanks again for taking your time to answer our questions. If you now want to add some final words; feel free to do it.

Tanner: Thank you for the interview. I just want to also say thanks to Matthew Earl, Peter Demore, Andy Poppitt and of course all the Madrost fans out there because without you, we wouldnt be here still today.
