1. Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?

Our pleasure. Well, as of our current state, IMPURIUM is writing, arranging riffs in preparation for an upcoming full length release. Hopefully having 8-10 songs. We’ve had songs in our back pocket for a while now, yet we’ve written new ones along the way, as well. As the band has progressed, the music has too, which is what we want. We’ll see which tunes make the final cut.

2. First off, could you make some history of the band?

My brother (Andrew) and I (Aaron) have always played. We started when we were 14/15 years old. Andy’s 3 years older than me, so I was watching & learning from him and his friends, who were all involved in garage bands. As we got older, responsibility took over (family/jobs/mortgages/etc…). When we were established financially, we bought some gear and wrote a bunch of tunes. We’ve always played, like I said, but we didn’t have the equipment to prove it. So, we dedicated ourselves to it. We hammered away at it in Andy’s basement, recorded what I like to call «a template for what’s to come» demo (that was never released). We’ve known Dave since high school. We lost touch over the years (that tends to happen), and the band he was in at the time needed a bass player. They called me and I jumped in. Dave heard what me and my brother’s recording, dug it, and said he’d play drums for us, Thankfully!!!

3. How could you describe your sound?

Our sound? Hmmm… definitely a «Black Metal’ vibe, for sure. Old school Black Metal, without the mud. HA!

4. What are the band’s main musical influences?

Our influences go way back. Everything metal (except that glam thing- never understood that nonsense). From Black Sabbath to Marduk. We all have our own individual influences, yet they’re one in the same. Sacrifice/Immortal/VoiVod/Kreator/Sodom/Slayer/Morbid Angel/Death/Mayhem/Carcass….the

list could go on forever.

5. How is the feedback for your new album being?

The feedback’s been positive, so far. Everyone I’ve talked to said they’ve enjoyed it, Either that, or they’re really good liars. Haha…

6. And are you personally satisfied with the final outcome?

I’m proud of the effort involved, for sure. Everyone involved who helped make the release happen, I continue to thank.

7. How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?

BLACKEND FUCKING DEATH!!!!

8. How has the production process for your new release been?

Orchestrated Misery has been great. Pete’s done a great job pimping the release. We’ve all done are part, but he’s definitely shown he cares about releasing something good. Sharing the release with Throne of Sacrilege has been our pleasure, as well. Those guys are fucking killer!!!

9. And how do you use to work on the songwriting?

The songwriting has always been about piecing riffs together that fit. We don’t jumble riffs together just to complete a song. They have to sync up, blend well and most importantly sound good. A flowing stream of controlled chaos.

10. Finally, what are you near-future plans?

Our plans for the future are to release the full length, play some shows, continue to write and record brutal music for all to enjoy.

11. That’s all from our side, thanks again for taking your time to answer our questions. If you now want to add some final words; feel free to do it.

It’s been my pleasure. HAILZ & HORNZ!!!! check out http://www.orchestratedmisery.com/ \m/
