1. Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?

Hi here is Ivan Chertov the singer, guitarist and composter of Craving. Right now we’re drunk at my place celebrating my graduation \m/

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?

The band was founded in 2005 by me and other three guys, who left the band all after another later on. In 2007 the current drummer has joined the band and in 2008 the guitarist Thorsten Flecken. Leonid Rubinstein helped the Band out since 2007 on Bass and joined full time in 2012 after the previous bass player was fired. On the recent album the band has worked with such musicians as Chris Caffery (Ex-Savatage) or Niels Löffler (Orden Ogan). You can read the complete bio on our official website www.cravingmetal.de

3- How could you describe your sound?

Our sound is a mixture of different Metal genres, mostly melodic with heavier influences. On our early demos which you can download on our website, you can hear that we experimented a lot.

4- What are the band’s main musical influences?

It is very hard to say if you want to hear a particular band name. The biggest influence is life in general.

5- How is the feedback for your new album being?

Its been great so far, there is one great review coming after another and we get really cool feedback from our fans all over the world.

6- And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?

We are very satisfied with the final result. The work on this one took a lot of passion, energy and time. Due to the fact that I was producing myself, and we had no pressure, we had time to do everything 100%. The postproduction at the Iguana Studios was also very smooth and we are satisfied with the mix.

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?

Epic Strong Furious

8- How has the production process for your new release been?

As I mentioned before the record was produced by me at my Homestudio between September 2012 and May 2013. The postproduction was handeled by Christoph Brandes at his Iguana Studios (Necrophagist, Finsterforst, Unlight and many more)

9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?

The songwriting was handeled by me alone, since Leonid joining he is also contributing to the bands material. We mostly work alone on our material and than exchange it. For example the song “Dance with the wind” was written that way.

10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?

We would like to concentrate on playing concerts this year. In April we’re gonna play the Ragnarök Festival along with such acts like Satirycon, Finntroll, Manegarm etc. in May we’re playing the Darktroll Festival among such bands as Heidevolk, Finsterforst etc. Right now we are working on the German dates for the autumn
