1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
Hey there, thank you for giving us the opportunity to talk a bit about us. At the moment we’re preparing everything for the release of our upcoming EP ‘BLIGHT’ and are getting ready for our release tour all across Germany. Other than that and despite the fact that we’re releasing an EP soon, we’re already working on our next full length. So far, the writing goes well and we’re having loads of new ideas we can’t wait to present to everyone.

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
We started in 2008 as a hardcore band and just steadily made our way to where we’re at right now. In 2012 we signed to Bastardized Recordings and released our debut full-length there. After some line up changes we’re back with some fresh music and feeling better than ever.

3- How could you describe your sound?
We’re definitely going for a dark and atmospheric sound while keeping things groovy and percussive, with a focus on raw and emotional lyrics and vocals.

4- What are the band’s main musical influences?
We have tons of different influences from all kinds of music, so it’s hard to narrow down a certain style or band as main influences. Our music is rather the product of our four quite distinct tastes. That makes composing a little easier and a little more complex at the same time. One one hand we are free to incorporate whatever elements of styles we like into our songwriting without having genre-limitiations. On the other hand, we want to create an organic piece of art with every song we write without having separate cool parts that don’t work out as a whole. In conclusion, we just throw in everything we like and whip it into a shape that we all can approve a great overall composition in the end.

5- How is the feedback for your new album being?
So far it’s been great. We prepared ourselves for a lot of hate and incomprehension towards the new material as we really really changed our music in a drastical manner. Fortunately most our fans seem like it as much or even better than our old music, so that’s a bit of a relief for us, haha.

6- And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?
TGRB01Definitely, even though that is difficult to answer in its entirety before the official release. Often the perception of your work changes once it’s out there and you got some time to settle and listen to it. As of now we love the new songs (obviously). Nevertheless we’re still working on the release thus we didn’t really have the time and muse to just sit down and listen to it as a finished product. Once we will, we’re sure that we’ll be content and satisfied with what we created.

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
Dark, heavy, groovy.

8- How has the production process for your new release been?
The instrumentals were actually just at the brink of being final when our new singer Gerald joined the band. We then finished the rest of it together and recorded everything ourselves except for the vocals which were tracked by our good friend Seb Monzel (shoutout!). Up to that point (just as with our past releases) we produced the EP ourselves. Afterwards we sent our tracks to US producer Julian Rodriguez of Parallel Focus Studios who did the mixing and mastering and were blown away by sound when the songs came back.

9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?
Our guitarist Moritz usually comes up with an already elaborated song by himself, consisting of a basic song structure and a couple of tasty riffs that would work as a full song already. Usually we then use that song as a basic framework and work the rest of the band’s thoughts and ideas into that until we’re all satisfied with the outcome. Sometimes we head into the same direction from the beginning on and are able to write a new song as a band in a couple of sessions, sometimes the process of revising song structure, adding and removing riffs over and over can take weeks or months.

10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?
Having a great EP release, traveling even more, playing shows, making money, doing drugs, sacrificing virgins and other metal things, I guess.

11- That’s all from our side, thanks again for taking your time to answer our questions. If you now want to add some final words; feel free to do it.
Don’t actually do drugs, support bands and stay weird.
