– Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you currently up to? Much promo going on lately?
RIGHT NOW WE’RE IN REHEARSAL FOR THE UPCOMING TOUR, GETTING READY TO ROCK!
– You will soon release your new «Reborn in Defiance». What are your expectations with this new effort? Are you still feeling exicted after so many years without releasing new stuff?
STILL EXCITED, OF COURSE. I HAVE NO EXPECTATIONS, I JUST HOPE EVERYONE LIKES OUR MUSIC AS MUCH AS WE DO.
– And what could you say are the main differences between your previous «Means to an End» and «Reborn in Defiance»?

– This is the first BIOHAZARD’s album in 18 years with the original line-up. Are you feeling like you are going back to your beginnings, to your roots? And do you think Evan’s departure has been something positive for you in any way?
I DEFINITELY FEEL LIKE WE ARE BACK TO THE BEGINNING, AND THAT’S OK. WE NEED TO WORK A LOT HARDER TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE ARE STILL A GREAT BAND, AND WE’RE READY TO DO THAT. I’M FEELING VERY POSITIVE ABOUT THE BAND RIGHT NOW, IT’S GOOD TO BE BACK TO WORK.
– And how was the songwriting process for this brand new piece?
THE SONGWRITING PROCESS WAS INTERESTING BECAUSE WE WERE KINDA LEARNING HOW TO RELATE TO EACH OTHER AGAIN. 18 YEARS IS A LONG TIME.
– After so many years with the band and some line-up changes; have your influences been changing with them or are still the same?
STILL THE SAME, STILL LOOKING FOR THAT RIFF THAT MOVES ME.
– You have released albums with several different labels; are there any concrete reasons after so many changes? In fact you are now with Nuclear Blast; how’s everything doing with them?
WE’VE BEEN ON EVERY LABEL YOU CAN THINK OF AT THIS POINT. NUCLEAR BLAST HAS BEEN COOL.
– «Reborn in Defiance» was produced by well-known and seasoned Toby Wright, are you guys satisfied with the work done by him?
TOBY WAS A GREAT CHOICE FOR THIS RECORD, HE REALLY HELPED US ORGANIZE OUR IDEAS AND FOCUS.
– BIOHAZARD is a band that is always involved personally with your lyrics, dealing with injustice, our society, etc. How do you see the current musical scene? What’s your view on free downloads and its impact on the busines side of music?
WELL, THE BUSINESS OF SELLING MUSIC IS DEAD AND THAT SUCKS. IT SUCKS BECAUSE A LOT OF ARTISTS OUT THERE WILL NEVER GET PAID FOR THEIR TALENTS AND HARD WORK.
THE MUSIC SCENE THESE DAYS IS VERY DIFFERENT. I MISS THE DAYS OF REAL BANDS THAT KNEW HOW TO PLAY FOR REAL, NO AUTOTUNE OR COMPUTER GRIDS. PAYING THEIR DUES LIKE WE DID DOESN’T EXIST ANYMORE, I DON’T THINK.
– And what about the Hardcore scene? What new bands into this camp could you suggest?
TOO MANY TO LIST.
– After so many years with the band; what have been both the best and worst moments with it?
WAAAY TOO MANY TO LIST!!!
– And what would you like to get with the band you haven’t yet?
I’M STILL HOPING TO MAKE A CLASSIC, GAME-CHANGING ULTIMATE HEAVY RECORD, YA KNOW? LIKE BLACK SABBATH MASTER OF REALITY. A TIMELESS RECORD THAT WILL LAST FOREVER AND BE THE MEASURING STICK FOR EVERYTHING THAT COMES AFTER IT.
– Finally, what are your near-future plans?
TAKE CARE OF MY FAMILY AND PLAY MUSIC WITH MY FRIENDS.
