1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
Thanks for the opportunity to be interviewed! We’re currently preparing for the release of our debut full length record in August. We’ll be touring out to eastern Canada to support the release and hopefully sell a couple records.

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
The band started up five years ago in Regina, Saskatchewan. We’ve released three studio EPs as well as 2 live-off-the-floor EPs over the years and toured Canada pretty extensively. Living in the prairies puts us around 8 hours from most larger cities so making the most out of tours is definitely essential. We’ve gone from a 5-piece down to a 4-piece recently as well. We’ve been really lucky to have had opportunities to play with some of our heroes like Fuck The Facts and Architects.

3- How could you describe your sound?
Our sound is a melting pot of genres such as punk, thrash, hardcore and metal. We try to create a raw and chaotic feel to our songs and try to write in unconventional structure while keeping things groovy and catchy. Over the years the sound has developed in a bunch of weird directions but with this last record we’ve found a middle-ground that we’re having a lot of fun with.

We’ve been influenced by lots of bands that we grew up listening to such as The Gorgeous, Every Time I Die, Cancer Bats, Converge, and Alexisonfire. Everyone in the band listens to a lot of mellow music, hip hop and folk as well. I think playing heavy music and drawing influences from other genres really helps us write with different ideas and dynamics.

5- How is the feedback for your new album being?
So far we haven’t shown it to many people but most of the feedback has been positive. The songs on this record are more mature than our previous releases so hopefully the response will continue to be good!

thumbnail_Band Promo6- And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?
We’re really happy with how the record turned out. The entire thing was recorded in four days and we had our doubts about how well it would turn out if we had a time limit. Despite having that pressure as we tracked the songs we were very happy with the final product. Rain City Recorders was the perfect studio for us and we’re hoping to return there in the future to record again with a little more time to mess around.

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
Greasy, loud, and raw

8- How has the production process for your new release been?
The production process for the record went really well. We went into the studio with an idea of what we wanted it to sound like and the engineers we worked with in the studio translated our ideas onto the record really well. We wanted something that sounded urgent and organic and I think we achieved that.

9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?
Our songwriting process is pretty communal. Certain ideas for dynamic parts are thrown in by everyone as a song develops and we all share in arranging riffs and parts. The vocals are usually written as the song gets closer to it’s final product. We record demos of all our songs to listen to and get new ideas for changes to make as well.

10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?
This winter we will be beginning work on our next release as well as applying for festivals for next season. Next year we hope to have a tour to the USA in the works as well as pre-production on our next record.

11- That’s all from our side, thanks again for taking your time to answer our questions. If you now want to add some final words; feel free to do it.
Thanks again for the interview! We feel really lucky for any opportunity to show people our music and hope you enjoy the new record.
