1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
Cheers! Well, besides dragging our asses to work each day we´re rather exiting about the release of our second crushing album. I´ve actually sold some pre-exes already and the response have been unanimously really positive.
2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
We started out in 2009 as a three-piece constellation, lacking a drummer. Never the less we shared the mutual aim to celebrate the oldschool metal scene and to make some filthy black music. Our first album was recorded the same year and released in 2010. Somewhat later we were joined and re-inforced by drummer Dimman, and made our way into the studio and recorded thirteen new devastators, to constitute our second album «Enjoy the filth», released via Carnal Records.
3- How could you describe your sound?
Raw, cold and filthy! Oldschool blackmetal with a lot of VENOM in it.
4- What are the band’s main musical influences?
Our musical influences goes back to the glorious days. Bands such as recently mentioned VENOM, as well as CELTIC FROST and BATHORY have a great impact.
5- How is the feedback for your new album being?
Well at this point it´s actually a few days to go before it´s officially released. However, the people involved in the recording process and a couple friends and other fuckers who have had the misfortune to already listened to the album have given us nothing but great and positive comments.
6- And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?
Indeed we are! In comparison to our first album I´d say everything is better! The music, riffs and lyrics are basically the same, but the improvement that came with Dimman on drums really takes it up 666 notches! Also the production is way better! Not to mention the cover and layout.
7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
Enjoy the filth!
8- How has the production process for your new release been?
It´s been drunk!! We entered Studio Beast (Tyrant, Styggelse) and recorded all instruments live during an alcohol soaked evening of blackness, madness and chaos. I later recorded the vocals. The process have been rather smooth anyhow. No direct tecnical fuckups, and Peter Bjärgö is an excellent producer and easy to work with.
9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?
We usually just meet and improvise. Isengrim or Aganaroth starts by presenting a riff and we go from there. It mostly doesn´t takes us long to agree upon an idea and create a song. I then take care of the lyrics and there you fucking have it! A clear advantage when you perform the kind of music that we do. It´s supposed to be straight forward, filthy, in your face. Not too much thought through or over-produced.
10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?
We look forward to witness the reception of our new album. Do interviews and hopefully hit the road in order to treat our fans with some live anti-christian filth! http://www.carnalrecords.com/Releases/
