– Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What’s currently going on into the HORRID’s camp?
Sergio thanks for your invite. Horrid’s camp is going on very well, new drummer and waiting new singer, so we are working a lot.
– Though you aren’t newcomers at all, you have always remained into the underground and have just released 4 albums. What’s why I guess some people won’t know about you yet so, first off, could you please share some history of the band?
Horrid was born in 1989 from Max (Bass) and Belfagor (guitar), which is 23 years of Swedish death metal and of course we changed a lots of musicians. We released 3 demos, 1 7”, 1 MCD, 4 full lenght im different times but always horrid.
– Your latest album is “The Final Massacre” compilation, which was released last year. Now that is has been a while since it came out, how do you feel about it? Is there something you would have liked to change on it?
No!!! I only have to say: finished this period, we are back again…back to the origins
– The album’s name, “The Final Massacre”, is quite explicit. Does it hold a particular meaning, as an end for HORRID or something like that?
It is normal when you have no good musicians. for someone horrid was a stupid hobby, but the true problem was that at the moment we didn’t have musicians to exchange with those
– You have never rushed releasing your albums, in fact this latest “The Final Massacre” hit the streets 5 years after “Rising from the Hidden Spheres” came out. Could you say this way you can develop a bit further your creations?
oh yes we, tried many studios, but in the end, we are happy to display different records…in the horrid’s style of course, and we had on them different guitar players, so you can understand what i mean
– Talking about this, is there any concrete reason why you have released just 4 albums during your long musical career?
reason? Yes, one is musicians and second is that in italy nobody supports nobody and of course you don’t have a solid base to work
– I read you stated this new album is dedicated to those who hoped your dissolution. Would you mind to shed some light on this and what happened?
oh it is nice to give bad words to horrid, but horrid never gave the same treatment to anyone. in this is life you can have who loves you, you can have who hates you, but never anyone said bad words about horrid directly in our face.. it is so easy through a pc
– “The Final Massacre” came out via Blasphemous Art Productions, but your previous effort was released through the Spanish label Xtreem Music. How did you hook up with Xtreem and why did you move later to Blasphemous Art?
Respect for Xtreem, but he said a lot of things and then deleted all, so we changed, of course
– You are a band with high-quality releases but really underrated. Why do you think you haven’t got the success or good luck that some other Death Metal bands have gotten? What could you say would be the ultimate way to get HORRID to the next level?
this is the end of one massacre, now will start the new one with powerful music and more violence than ever
– Your Death Metal is quite at the old school way and you are hailing from Italy, and I don’t honestly know any other Italian bands playing your style, so I would like you to tell us if there’s any other band like you and how is the current Metal scene in Italy.
