– Hello, thanks for answring to our questions. What’s currently keeping you busy? how’s everything doingnow on GoatEbord?
Hey Tania, Everythings fine here…we are still back on earth and doing rehearsals for our next tour through germany and austria together with Varg and Eisregen in April. After the last tour in December we took a break and got back for some days to mighty GoatEborg to visit our Leader, Family and Friends…they are all happy with the fact, that we make big steps in our world-domination-plan…
– First of all, and I bet so many humans may have already asked you about that: how did the idea of forming a band with this «concept» arise»?
We got the order from the Goatfather (leader of GoatEborg) to conquer Planet Earth) and we thought, that it will be the easiest way to form a band and do it with music…it still works
– Some months ago you released your latest «Clockwork Udder»; what’s the concept behind this effort?
Clockwork Udder is a “Manual”. The concept behind the album is to explain all humans how we will conquer your planet step by step… We worked together with some of the best scientists of goateborg to make some melodies which can make you believe in the Reign of Goat on Earth…harrharrharr…
– And how does it fit the cover artwork? That clock really intrigues me.
The Clock just says that we nearly got you earthanoids…there are three clocks in the layout one with 11:55, one is 12:00 and one is 12:05…
– Looking the titles of the songs, it has less references to goats (moreover, this time I found more melody); are you goats becoming more serious?
Only serious as usual;-) we tried to took some more influences in goatgrind and thats the reason for bringing more melodies and groove into our kind of music…
– Anyway, «More Humour than Human» is the proof you are not. Is nowadays important to bring some humor to the Metal scene?
Of course…thats the reason for us to do this Band…some bands in the genre are taking the buissness to serious. We are just goats, who want to have fun and we hope that you earthanoids have fun with us, too.
– Though on this album you keep on with your usual personality, I also found some surprises as «In Hardest Conditions», your longest tune so far. What could you comment on it? Was writing this song different to your usual way of composing?
“In hardest conditions” is an experimental song of my brother goatleeb. He wants to try his clean voice on a recording, after we finished this song in the studio Goatleeb, me and our Producer T-Low we was really surprised that it sounds so cool and we took the decision to place it on the album. We are satisfied with this decision.
– I also found curious the «intermezzos» «Knock Knock», which are separated in 3 parts. Could you please shed some light on this and why did you decide to include such tracks?
Many of our fans asked for a new ding fong motherfucker, but we thought that it is boring to do something like ding dong 2.0 on the Album…So we took the three funny knock knock songs on the album for our fans…
– A few time ago you were part of the Hatefest; how did everything go? How was the response toward the new songs?
Hatefest was really amazing…we found so much new friends and had a really good time on the road with the other bands. The response to the new songs was cool…we had “more humour than human”, “we wanty you”, “human domestication” and “vain killer” on the set.
– And soon you will start the EISREGEN’s Rostrot tour; what are your expectations?
First tour with only german bands with german lyrics…we still hope, that the Eisregen Fans have enough humour to look our show…we take another coversong in the set for the german audience of TOTENMOND…
– Finally; what are your near-future plans? Planet Earth’s domination?
YES…same plans like ever!!!
