– Hi André, thanks for answering to our questions. What’s currently keeping RAGE busy? How are you gusy feeling being near to release your new effort?
Now we are in the promotion thing, ever day some interviews etc. To promote our upcoming album 21. We are very happy about the album and now I´m curiously about the reactions.
– This new album is entitled «21». What can your fans expect from it?
The hardest Rage album i think what they ever heard.
– And what are your expectations with this new record?
I´m happy with it, wanna play it live and kick some asses on the road.
– This is your 21st album but; why have you wanted to emphasize on this number? Or maybe you wanted to emphasize on this album itself?
There are 2 things abvout that, its our 21 th album and it has something to do with Black Jack. So it fits for us to make this doublefeature!
– If I’m not mistaken, you have already filmed a video for the song «Twenty One»; what could you tell us about it?
Yes, we recorded in CZ in an nice Casino, with alot of girls and money. That was pure fun. Hope our fans like it!
– Once more, you recorded at the BLIND GUARDIAN’s Twilight Hall studios, so I guess that was the best choice for you?
Yes, our producer Charlie Bauerfeind nows this place very well, and we feel very comfortable there. BG and we are still good friends. So its everytime a good choice for us. The orchesteralbum we wanna make this year will be also recorded there.
– In fact it was, once again, produceed by Charlie Bauerfeind and own Victor. How positive is for the band keeping this teamwork and having an own band member taking production duties? Does everything harder or the opposite?
Thats the best way, because Victor knows exactly what we wanna have. And he and Charlie worked a long time togethter in the studio, so its and very good team for our sound etc.
– I read this album deals, in general, with murder. What did inspire you to write such lyrics?
Thats a question for Peavy i guess. Thats his way to write lyrics, hahahah.
– In fact, the song we have had the chance of listening to, «Twenty One», is really poewrfull and heavy. Does the whole album carry onlike that? Maybe this sound fits better with the lyrics on the album?
Yes, i think its one of the hardest tune we ever did. A little bit back to roots, but we have also some little technical things on it. So its very interesting to hear it. Cannot wait what the fans think about that.
– You were the last member to join RAGE, but this is your third album with the band. How do you think have you evolved as musician and into the band since «Carved in Stone»?
Its the 3rd, but i did also the NB compilation together with Victor, so its my 4th album to work with the guys. On 21 is my first own song, called Psycho terror. So the guys give me all i need and everytime a chance to bring me into the songs. Its also great, that i can play what i will on drums, its fits very well i hope!
– And finally, you have already announced some live dates (which include Spain) and there are still more to come; what are your expectations with the tour?
Its the next tour, hahahahaha….we practice a lot for that tour, because the songs are very hard and powerfull to play.
