– Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?

AD Gore: Hi, thanks for let us share our sick message through your website. Currently we’re working on the stuff for the new mini album and preparing to the live shows in the autumn.

– First off, could you make some history of the band?

AD Gore: Centurion was formed about fourteen years ago by Bigos (guit.) and Śliwa (drums), then Sobiech (voc.), Ostry (guit.) and Ziomek (bass) joined the band and this line-up had recorded two CD’s – “…and they will leave only remains” – a demo tape from 2001 and then “Conquer&Rule” a year later. Then, after a few events Sobiech, Ostry and Ziomek left the band due to the several reasons and me and Caesar joined the band in 2006. We have been playing without the bass until we met Blacha. This line-up is responsible for “Sacrilege” promo from 2007 and “Serve no One” LP that has a premiere in march this year. After the last recording session Demon (known from Devilyn and Nomad that you mentioned) replaced Śliwa.

– How could you describe your sound?

AD Gore: Our goal is to be the most brutal death metal band all over the world and you can hear it.

– What are the band’s main musical influences?

AD Gore: In fact we’re our own greatest influence. We play the music that we’d like to hear and in some kind of way Centurion is our favourite band in death metal hehehe… Of course we love for example Asphyx and Immolation but you rather won’t hear their music elements in our music. On the other hand – we know that we are not very original band. You’ve got for example Deranged from Sweden who play similar, but it is not our goal to be an original band. We just want to crush the listener.

– How is the feedback for your new album being?

AD Gore: Very good so far. In fact I read a single bad review of our album, but probably the guy who wrote this was a depressed faggot, hehehe… No I’m kidding. I love to read and hear opinions of people that hate our style. Probably in their mind death metal has to be very technical and melodic with clear sound… But my question is – is it still a death metal?

– And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?

AD Gore: Yes, in 101%. This is the best thing that we’ve ever recorded. We wouldn’t improve anything in “Serve no One”.

– How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?

AD Gore: FAST. AND. FURIOUS.

– How has the production process for your new release been?

AD Gore: It was a very difficult recording session. We had a huge ambitions to gain a sound that will fit to us and record our stuff as much live as it’s possible. For example we recorded six tracks of guitars and each of them were recorded from the beginning to the end in by live guitarist. Usually bands, when they record with the metronome, make sample of one riff and then paste it several times. But not us. That’s why “Serve No One” sounds like an old school death metal album. On the other hand we had a lot of technical difficulties during the session. In my opinion some kind of evil spirit was around us. We we’re fighting each other, we had problems with the string, our drummer left the band in the middle of the session, then I had a critical moment in my life and spent almost a half of a year laying on my back after the medical operation, then we had problem with booklet and cover and many other shitty events took place. In summary – it was a war, but we won it.

– And how do you use to work on the songwriting?

AD Gore: Usually we bring the most brutal riffs that we’re able to create, then build a structure of the song with our drummer and it has to be brutal as fuck as well. After this we’re getting drunk or stoned and write a lyrics about domination, war and evil – it depends of the mood hehehe… All of us are responsible for the music and the lyrics are mine and Caesar field. A battle field I’d say…

– Finally, what are you near-future plans?

AD Gore: We have some gigs in Poland and we’re going to create a new mini album as soon as it will be possible. We make songs at present and I can say that it will the most extreme Centurion that you’ve ever heard.

– That’s all from our side, thanks again for taking your time to answer our questions. If you now want to add some final words; feel free to do it.

AD Gore: Thanks a lot. I would like to say a big fuckin’ HELLo to our all fans. Probably you have a serious mental disorder if you like our music and that’s why I like you. Normality sucks.
