– Many thanks for answering to our questions and, first of all, how were the recording sessions for this new album like, name «Feed the Extermination»?
Great, we had a lot of fun. Perfect.
– Tell us a bit what are you trying to say on the effort, as well as the meaning behind its title and the cover artwork. What do you want to reflect with this new piece?
Everything is extreme in the world today, no millions, but billions, no normal fights, kicking …… and the wars everytime, somewhere, worldwide, tribe against tribe, etc.
– Listening to the album I can notice is a powerful CD but also quite updated to these current days; did you have clear what was the sound you wanted o did everything just came naturally, on the fly?
We`ve checked the sound before, 2 songs were ready a few month ago, we`ve changed sonme things, thats it.
– Since your reunion in 2007 you have released two albums. Is true that not all of you are the same you were back in the 80’s but, what’s left from those VENDETTA on these latest albums?
I think the sound is nearly the same, up to date, not like the 80`s sound, but you can recognize, that is Vendetta.
– You were one of those many bands that, during the 80’s, recorded with Noise Records; how was that period in the life of the band?
Is there a big difference between that label and the ones you have worked now?
In the 80`s we were young and we don`t care about all that stuff. Today it is not easy to get a contract and Times are hard. But we are happy with massace-records right now.
– Both «Go and Live… Stay and Die» and «Brain Damage» are two cult albums into the Thrash Metal scene. How were those VENDETTA’s first steps?
Thanks a lot. We haven`t realized that years ago, but after we`ve started our homepage, we had so many clicks. Unbelievable.
– Have nowadays noticed, thanks to the Internet, that these albums are really remembered between your oldest fans as well as discovered by new generations?
Thats right. The new generation is hungry for the old stuff . Metal is coming back more and more and that`s good.
– What happened to the band when you decide to come back after almost 20 after «Brain Damage»? How was the process?
Thats what I`ve said. After we`ve finished our first homepage it gegins to roll…..
– And about the sound change; did you ever think about coming back to play a more standard Thrash Metal, as you did in your first albums? Or did you already have clear the idea of adapting the new line-up to a more modern sound still being a powerful band?
You can`t make it right for everybody, if we play like in the 80`s somebody says: “That`s old school” (nothing new). If we play a completely modern style, they say: “ it`s not like Vendetta in the 80`s . The same with the Guitars etc etc…. It was a great job by Dan Swanö from Sweden.
– About your present; how’s the shows and touring situation? Do you have something prepared or are you already on the road supporting the new album?
Yes, we want to. Some days in April and May and some Festivals. We are in Spain again at Vaques Fest 25.08.2012 with Nocturnal Rites, Scanner and many more.
– And in the future; what do you have prepared? Do you have something in mind as new recordgins, a live album, a DVD…?
We`ll see. We have enough riffs for the next album (haha).
