1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
We are releasing our first EP ‘warm winter day’, independently, on November 15th 2014. Getting ready to hit the stages with the band members of Ferium. Also, working on our new official video.
2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
In 2012 we, Shiran avayou (the singer and writer) and Elram boxer (producer and writer) set down in the studio to write a song, this one came out so awesome, we decided to make a whole, very serious, project. And after brainstorming some silly names, like ‘ashley sexalot’, we decided to call it SHIRAN. During the last 2 years, we wrote an album.
3- How could you describe your sound?
Our sound is pretty complicated. A combination of aggressive metal, djent, jazz and blues singing, sometimes even some American Country.
4- What are the band’s main musical influences?
The band’s influences are Metallica, Dream Theater, Nevermore, Meshuggah, Tom Waits, Gojira, Pantera and many more.
5- How is the feedback for your new album being?
We will be releasing it soon, not many have heard it yet but, very good feedback from the few who did.
6- And are you personally satisfied with the final outcome?
We are very satisfied with the final outcome. Thanks to Elram Boxer’s production.
7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
Heavy /vocal/ punchy
8- How has the production process for your new release been?
It has been amazing working on this album. It is a very personal material, and seeing it come to life has been intense. We also learned so much in the process about ourselves and molded our style.
9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?
We are going to the studio, Shiran is singing her new song, and Elram is writing all the music around it. That is the magical process.
10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?
We plan on preforming all over the world, finding a good record company that will sign us, working on some new material for our next album, making great videos. Spreading our creativity worldwide.
