1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
Hello! Fine thanks. Waiting for the upcoming shows and it seems winter is finally giving up! (Hehehe, Finnish trying to make some small talk!)

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
This is taken from our official website, and ‘Yeah’ it is true story: «The tale of Graveyard Shifters begins in Kerava, Finland – where the band party and destroy everything in their path using the savage sounds of punk, rock ‘n’ roll and metal. The Graveyard Shifters started in the fall of 2013 with singer J. Matilainen and drummer A. Salmenoja being abducted by alien invaders from the sky. Our heroes we’re forced to return back to Earth and make a change to the nowadays ‘polished music’ that infects our planet from all corner of the globe. Their mission: to create new music to blow YOUR mind…» – Got it?!

3- How could you describe your sound?
We do have this new punchline that defines our sound very well.. And it goes like this, ‘Fucking nut cracking punk’n’roll from Finland.’ If you are fan of Kvelertak, The Hellacopters, The Hives or AC/DC, I am sure that we do have something that may excite you!

4- What are the band’s main musical influences?
Having fun with the guys at rehearsals. Good music, life, beer, etc. Whatever makes you feel something good or bad. And life without music is no life at all!

5- How is the feedback for your new album being?
graveyard-shifters--01_lowOnly got few «Awesome -reviews» at the moment. Hopefully will turn upside down people’s lives!

6- And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?
Totally satisfied! I’ve been doing many demos and two albums during the years with my another band RE-ARMED, before this album, and I have to say this was one of the easiest and funniest studio sessions that I’ve been in.

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
Catchy, Fast and Furious 69.

8- How has the production process for your new release been?
Seven days in a row locked and loaded with lots of beer and recorder just pushed and hold the red record button until we said, «Stop it».. Heheh.. We don’t like to fiddle with parts over and over again or over analyze everything we do.

9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?
We do songs at the rehearsals together. Basically we just start to jam some riffs and suddenly we found ourselves in the middle of a new song. We do have ONE rule when we are on ‘writing mode’, and it is: ‘If the riff or the part of the song wound make you smile, talk or shout noisily after we have tried it – Then it is not good enough!’

10– Finally, what are your near-future plans?
Hmmm.. We are not planning anything ever so clearly. Actually only thing that we have planned already is that the next album, EP or whatever is the format of the next release, that it must be blue coloured, hehehe.. We do have already few new songs that we have played together, so maybe it’s time to record new album someday in the misty future.

11- That’s all from our side, thanks again for taking your time to answer our questions. If you now want to add some final words; feel free to do it.
