1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
Hi! Samantha Landa (drums) here. We’re releasing our second album, Death Always Wins on June 2, and kicking that off with three shows with Unleash the Archers. We’re preparing for a tour around the US this August/September and are starting to make plans for next year.

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
The band has been around since 2011. We released our debut album back in 2013 and have toured around the western US and Canada several times since then, but we’re stepping it up this year with a new album, new tours, and more.

3- How could you describe your sound?
We’re kind of a crossover band, so it’s hard to describe exactly. Our rhythms are pretty thrashy and dissonant, and our leads are super melodic with some unexpected runs and chords. We do a lot of dual vocals, back-and-forth stuff. Sometimes we lean more towards the Swedish melodic death sound, and sometimes we’re more thrashy. We definitely have a few catchy and melodic tunes on the new album, and one pure thrash track. But from one song to the next, you can still tell it’s us.

4- What are the band’s main musical influences?
All of the members have a wide range of influences, which is probably why the band doesn’t really fit in one box or genre. We’ve pulled together influences from Amon Amarth, Carcass, Kreator, Exodus, and even Pantera. We’ve had people compare us to old Arch Enemy. It’s an interesting mix!

5- How has the feedback for your new album been?
Solid feedback so far. That it’s definitely a step up from our debut album in terms of songwriting and technical capabilities. We agree.

6- And are you personally satisfied with the final outcome?
We’re very happy with the new album. It has a few tracks we wrote several years ago, and some brand new ones we’ve never played live. We think (and hope!) people are going to like it.

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
Heavy, memorable, headbangworthy.

8- How was the production process for your new release?
We all have busy schedules, so we spent a few weeks in and out of the studio. Lots of pub food. Not enough beer. But it’s for the best.

9- And how does the songwriting process work?
We usually write songs together as a band. One of the guys might bring in a riff or three, or someone might come up with something at jam and we all join in and improvise until something cool happens. I try and record what we’re doing with my crappy iphone voice program so we don’t forget (but it’s usually because I’m the one who forgets). We’ll take it home and refine our parts or come up with transition parts, and the next time we get together we’ll finish most of the song.

10 – Finally, what are your near-future plans?
Aside from a few early June shows with Unleash the Archers in Vancouver, Victoria, and Nanaimo, BC (Canada), we’re touring around the US from mid-August to mid-September.

11- That’s all from our side, thanks again for taking your time to answer our questions. If you now want to add some final words; feel free to do it.
