1- Hello, thanks for answering to our questions. What are you guys currently up to?
We are currently in the process of booking a summer tour. Looking to hit the East Coast this June by ourselves. We are also working on writing new songs and hope to start recording a full length this summer.

2- First off, could you make some history of the band?
We were formed in 2008 as a three piece cover band in Logan, Utah. We covered songs from Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth and Death to name a few. After a few gigs we started writing our own material. We were put on hold as we eventually relocated to Salt Lake City. We sort of reformed and started gigging and writing more material. Its been a slow process with mostly a local following until we released our first full length, ‘Prognosis Negative’. Now, with a few west coast tours under our belt we’ve finally started to gain some attention and are excited to see what the future holds.

3- How could you describe your sound?
I would say we sound like a death metal inspired thrash band. We draw from a lot of different influences and have tried hard not to fall into the pot of bands you would label as ‘retro thrash’ or ‘pizza thrash’.  Raw and aggressive but not afraid of a little melody is what we’re going for.

4- What are the band’s main musical influences?
When we first started, we aspired to be something similar to Exodus or Slayer but as we developed we found ourselves more enthralled by bands like Pestilence, Bolt Thrower, Death and Voivod. By now we have so many influences it could make you puke. If you had to lump us into a category I think we’d fit more with the big three of Germany (Sodom, Kreator, Destruction) than the Big Four of the U.S.A.

5- How is the feedback for your new album being?

1_Page8_Page1
Well we just barely put out the press release with much help from Clawhammer PR who has been helping us tremendously. We publicly released the artwork as well as the title track and so far the response has been great! Been receiving a lot of praise online from people who say they areexcited for the full release (on the 21st of April).

6- And are your personally satisfied with the final outcome?
Yes. We are digging it. It feels good just to have everything finished and out there. The fun part now is just sitting back and letting other people hear it.

7- How could you describe this opus in just 3 words?
Rampant ball dropping

8- How has the production process for your new release been?
Excellent! We recorded with Salt Lake City’s own Andy Patterson. He’s one of Utah’s most prominent underground producers and is a pleasure to record with. We learned not to get hung up on minor imperfections and just worry about how the recording sounds as a whole this time and I think ‘The Other Side Of Darkness’ has turned out better for it.

9- And how do you use to work on the songwriting?
It varies from song to song. I have hard drives filled with riffs and ideas and eventually certain riffs will just click together and end up writing themselves. Lyrics are the hardest part. I usually have focus on writing to the title of the song and lock myself in a room until I’m satisfied.

10 – Finally, what are you near-future plans?
Tour! Play live gigs, when and where we can. Hoping to get underway with a new full length this summer. Also, finishing a music video for ‘Prognosis Negative’

11- That’s all from our side, thanks again for taking your time to answer our questions. If you now want to add some final words; feel free to do it.
Check out our new album! and don’t forget to look for us on tour! blahh! Thanks.
